Zone of the Enders 3 was an announced game in the Zone of the Enders series. Hideo Kojima has stated that the game had recently started development.[1]
The game was rumored to feature an alternate reality or past timeline involving the origins of Metatron. What is known with regards to this storyline is that the game was to feature "Enders Project" Jehuty and "Enders Project" Anubis.
On May 4th 2013, Hideo Kojima made a broadcast on a radio station that the development of Zone of the Enders 3 was cancelled due to the HD Collection sales not garnering the expected revenue which he had hope for. However, during the broadcast, he asked fans if that they would like a third Zone of the Enders game.
