"Enders Project" is the codename of a Zone of the Enders project that was under development by Konami's Kojima Productions. It was announced in May 25th, 2011 during the "ZONE OF THE ENDERS HD NIGHT" event, which was held to celebrate the release of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection.[1]

Announced by series' creator Hideo Kojima, the game is rumored to take place in an alternate continuity focused on an ancient civilization, in which Orbital Frames would be more than man-piloted mechs. Conceptual artwork released in the event depicts the series' signature Frames, Jehuty and Anubis with a radically different appearance, boasting a more tribal and organic look.

In May 2013, it was announced in Konami's Hideradio broadcast that the development of the Enders Project had been terminated and the team involved disbanded as a response to the sub-par reception of Zone of the Enders HD Collection. After the broadcast, series creator Hideo Kojima asked users whether the game would be "something they would want to play."[2]
