Comet is a weapon that appears in Zone of the Enders, The 2nd Runner, and The Fist of Mars. In Zone of the Enders and The Second Runner, Comet is a slightly homing burst of energy that can be fired in rapid succession. The speed and homing properties of the weapon can be altered depending upon the pressure put on the circle button. The Comet cannot be blocked, and one shot fired will repeatedly attack the same enemy for a given time.^[1]However, if the player takes damage while the comet is in mid-flight, the Comet will disappear. Fires a homing energy shot at the enemy. Can be fired in rapid succession.
